preferences for synthetic tar paper?

Greetings all:

I'm about to do a tear off and reroof of one of my rentals. I am unfamiliar w/ the synthetic tar paper brands. My local roofing supply carries: GAF Tigerpaw, Certainteed Diamondback and a 3rd brand that I don't remember.

What brands do you prefer? I want to be able to snap a chalk line and not have it wear off too fast. I can always buy the underlayerment at a different supply house if there is another brand that is easier to work with. It's a small roof and I'm doing the roof by myself. THanks in advance.

Titanium UDL will not hold a chalk line very well. If your safety rope (assuming you're wearing one) will act like an eraser lol. Nova Seal is a decent one and it will hold a chalk line.

We use Tri-Built from time to time and it works well.

Feltex also seems good.
