Pictures of Certainteed Olive Fiber siding anyone?

I'm about to order my siding and have been going back and forth between Hardi and Certainteed. I have found lots of pictures of the Hardi Mountain Sage color, but none of the CT Olive, does anyone have some "real" pics of this color in the wood grain lap siding?

Can't help with the color. However, when I did my house, my contractor had a book with painted product samples. You might be able to find a dealer nearby that has the book.

Why not get unpainted and then decide on color after siding is all up? At least when I was looking it was about 1/3 less in price for the unpainted siding too.

We've got Certainteed's 'Natucket Grey' being put on our new house this week. It's a light olive, but with more of a grayish undertone than green. Hardie's equivalent was too 'pea soup' green for our liking.

I just bought siding + trim for 167'x8ft 7.25" Primed. Its alot cheaper + you get a lifetime warranty on the top coat paint you put on what ever color you decide.

Primed is the way to go. Then paint yourself with lifetime warranty instead of there 50yr.

Warranties for shingles or paint is never a sure thing. Other than perhaps a few years for defects I wouldn't expect much success in trying to prove warranty issues.

So you trade initial cost of purchase or the additional cost of the paint and labor to apply it. Likely six of one, a half-dozen of the other...

labor costs? what labor costs?

I spend 35+ hours a week on this house + work a 40hr work week.

Its actually cheaper + you get a better seal imo if you paint it yourself.

Sure, if you put no value on your time, yeah, it's "free". That and there's double the time (if not more) spent dealing with ladders and/or scaffolding. But hey, run the numbers in whatever way you think works "best".

Hi, Did you by chance order the CT Olive siding? I'm in the exact same boat. Like it on the sample, but want to see it on a home. Do you have any pictures you can share? Thanks in advance!
