Is it ok to reroof when its raining??

We are going to be reroofing my parents place and its not my first rodeo but since the weather in the Pacific Northwest is unpredictable I figured I would throw it out there and see what folks think.

We are leaving the existing roof in place (there is only one) and going to roof over the top of it. But I'm wondering if it rains and moisture gets caught between the old roof (3-tab) and the new roof if there will be an issue?

Thanks everyone!!

Not a great plan to just go over the old roof, and I've seen blisters form because of moisture trapped below a new roof.

Done all of the time.

Both re-roof and roofing in the rain.

We've done that many times over the last 30 to 40 years.
Minimal problems.
We would rather, not - though!
Probably, not going to be a catastrophe!
