New Shingles don't match
Hi,
Just had a new roof put on by a professional (& according to my research reputable) roofer, looks like they did good work. However in 3 larges patches on the front slope of the roof, the shingles clearly are not the same color as all the shingles around them. They look wet compared to the others. When I talked to the crew supervisor he told me they were in fact wet, something to do with the manufacturing process and wet sand???? and that it would dry out to look like the rest, but could take a few weeks. I didn't understand, but was hoping someone here could give me some more insight, as I know almost nothing about roofing. It's been three days now of 80 plus degree temperatures and direct sun on them and they still look wet.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
