New Roof - Need Help with Color Please
I'm in contract to have a new roof installed within the next couple of weeks and need to pick a color asap. I've been back and forth with which one to use. I think I've narrowed it down to Owens Corning Trudefinition Teak and Certainteed Landmark Heather Blend. It's been a long and difficult decision because everything tends to clash with the brick (and I don't want to paint it).

We will be changing the storm door to brown, replacing the skylight, adding copper flashing around the chimney and extending the overboard extension and gable by 10" to allow for recessed lighting to be installed in the soffit.

Please let me know if the picture of my house with Trudefinition Teak is too dark, too busy, etc? Is it an improvement compared to what I have now? I don't think I set-up the spacing of the shingles in the mock-up photo so I can't tell what it will look like for sure.

Unforunately, I can't figure out how to link the Certainteed Heather Blend picture of my house that I did on Certaineed's Colorview site. I've added a swatch of the shingle to help you visualize it. It looks softer than the Teak, but I don't know if it has too much gray in it.

I'm also open to other color suggestions. But believe me, I've tried them all in mock-up pictures and pretty much everything looked horrible, except for these two.

Let your wife pick or you will never hear the end of it. Shingle: Landmarks

Please go back and add your location to your profile, dark shingles in a hot location will over heat the up stairs.
Just go to Quick links to edit.

Also if the door side of the house is in the direct sun it's a huge mistake to paint that door a dark color.
With that type storm door you'll have a solor panel and it can distroy the inside door.
Any new door will come with a sticker on it with this warning.
