New roof for enclosed patio. Help! Too hot!

jonnynobones Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 2	New roof for enclosed patio. Help! Too hot! Hello. I have an enclosed patio with a plexiglass roof. I was hoping to use this room as an office but obviously, when the sun hits, it gets extremely hot in there. Could you offer any suggestions on how to remedy this problem? A tinted plexiglass? Insulate it somehow? Anything? Thank you! jon Attached Images

There are contractors who can apply a tinted film to the roof windows, similar to tinting car windows. Also, add some air movement inside of their, one way or another.
