Need advice on attic ventilation

I have a 1948 brick and block house with a rectangular cross-section (36’ x 23’) and a gable roof. There are no soffit vents and no space at present to install them. The gable vents (12” x 18”) are considerably undersized (following the air vent, inc methodology). There is an attic exhaust fan with a mushroom cap. I don’t know the exhaust rate of the fan, but the motor is 1/20 hp, 1500 rpm and the blades are 14”. The attic gets hot - today, the air temp was 80 F and the attic was 110 F. The roof itself has 5 -10 years of life left. I would like to improve the situation, but I’m not sure the “best” way to proceed (a balance between results and money), but I would appreciate any input from the experts.

Thanks guys great site.

There are fascia venting options available.

You definitely need to add more intake ventilation if you have none currently, but 110 degrees is not bad at all.
