Mounting Block for FIber Cement Siding

Hey all,
Do you typically use vinyl siding mounting blocks w/ fiber cement siding? Or do you do something different. I have an A/C box and a few other blocks currently on my steel sided house and didn't know what to use for fiber cement when I approach those areas.

Someone suggested using the PVC trim I'm using on windows and cut my own blocks.

Vinyl siding blocks will work, I'd add some window tape around the nailing fin.
You would need 5/4 X wider then what your trying to mount trim boards so it would stick out past the siding.
The ones you have now will most likely need to go. Aluminum siding does not stick out as far as Hardee.

What about for coaxial cables/satellite cables? Are mounting blocks used for these or are holes drilled through the siding and cables pulled through?
