Mold in attic

Sorry if this isn't posted in the right forum. It's arguably a ventilation issue as much as roofing.
I have some mold in my attic up along the rafters. I could spray it with something maybe a mixture of bleach and water but I don't know if it'll help much. I used to have the bath vent just going into the attic, but I corrected that ducting it to the outside.
I only have 2 gable vents and a solar attic fan. Should I be calling in a mold remediation contractor or could I treat this myself?

Got any soffit vents? Without them the roof vents are not doing much.
If there is soffit vents are they blocked up with insulation?
Has the attic been air sealed? (sealing up any place like wiring, plumbing, light and ceiling fans where air can get into the attic.
May be far better off getting rid of your other vents and just having a ridge vent so the whole roof gets vented not just the ends and circles where the solor vents are.

Treat the mold with a product like Timbor or Boracare.
Going to have to buy it on line most likly.

I've had half a dozen people tell me that I can't put soffit vents in the type of roof I have. The rafter tails stick out under the eaves. I already tried going this route.

I just have two gable end vents and the solar attic fan up top. Maybe I could enlarge the two gable end vents for more intake ventilation? It's a small roof and a small house.

Venting at the top of your roof is exhaust. If you don't have any intake at the bottom, the air down there will stagnate. You CAN get ventilated drip edge. You'll have to remove roofing at the bottom edge, cut the decking back a little bit, install the vented drip edge, then put roofing back.

Need to post a picture.
No reason in most cases why you could not just add 3 or 4" round snap in vents in the boards that are used for blocking between the rafters.

Post a picture of the roof over hang--there are a number of different vents for that style of roof overhang---

most are easily done by a homeowner or could be hired out at a fair price.
