Metal roof to gutter transition.

I am familiar with roofing with asphalt shingles, and have put corrugated metal on sheds, but never on a house with gutters.

What is the best DIY way to flash or otherwise deal with the transition between metal roofing and the gutters?

Thanks
Mike

Got a picture?
There should have been an overhang, no flashing needed.

I always flash the edges with same colored drip edge as the metal roof.
I also set a string from one side of roof to the other to represent the over hang for the metal roof. Then set the sheets to the string. Is really easy to set first panel with 1" overhang, next sheet if not exactly where it should be, will be even with first sheet at 1" and 1 1/8" on the other side. It is worth the few extra min to setup the string for a guide, and will save time in the long run.

The gutters are attached just like any other roofing. To the facia.

Pictures will get you much more specific and concise answers.

Yes pictures help especially for questions about a specific situation or repair. This is a general theoretical question. No picture is possible or helpful, since I currently have asphalt shingles.

Most of the drip edges I've seen lay flat. Curious if I needed to do anything special because of the raised ribs on roof panels.

Edit: I should have done more research before asking a question. I downloaded a PDF installation Guide of a product I'm considering. That answered my questions. Thanks for the help.
