Metal Roof

Need to know how to insulate and cover inside of metal roof that has no sheathing. I want to store fabrics and craft supplies without getting condensation leaks. This building is 16x16 with 9 ft from floor to loft decking and stairs to a 3/4 loft that I can stand up in. roof style is barn.
Thank You.

How is the space vented, if at all? Is the space conditioned? Easiest way is spray foam but it isn't cheap by any means and it may not be necessary depending on where the insulation and envelope layers are currently. Pictures of the space will help get more feedback.

You could try a layer of plastic on the bottom of the rafters. It'll give an airspace below the roof. I've seen that work, and I've seen it not work. It could be a coin toss.

With propper venting on the roof and soffits, adding a ceiling and insulatiing it and the walls, air sealing the room there should be no condinsation on the under sides of the roof..

That would be ideal and it was my first thought and I was going to suggest it too. Then, I reread the post and decided it's a basic pole barn building. Still not sure though.

I am not saying this is "the" answer because all of the other responses have been 100% correct I believe but you may want to look into "anti-con" materials for metal roofing; they may fit your need well in this particular instance.
