Metal cap needs mildew clean up and caulking


One area of metal cap on roof has mildew build up and it is affecting window and siding below.

What is best way to clean up mildew build up to apply caulking on the area?

Get some Krud Kutter, a scotch bright pad and go to work.

Post a picture.
It worrys me that your going to use caulking. Why the caulking?
A vent installed correctly should not need caulking.
Bleach kills mold.

Metal cap needs mildew clean up and caulking


Mildewicides kill mold. Bleach does kill mold but not as effectively as a dedicated mold product.

thanks Wow, great link. I like the "natural, cheaper" alternatives.
Its great to have several alternatives at hand in case one does not work.
