I'm building a shed with a gambrel roof with dormers and a flared out eave. I was originally planning on using asphalt shingles but decided to switch to metal due to a relatively low cost delta and the hope that I could avoid having fasteners stick through the roof decking. Now I've come across a few other options that look attractive because of light weight and ease of cutting: Ondura and fiberglass panels.
My question is what are the pros and cons of Ondura vs fiberglass vs metal?
I'll try to upload a pic to help you see my plan soon.
Fastener stick through is an issue because there is a loft which will sometimes be occupied.
I think I can avoid fastener issues by using firing strips. If there is no decking I won't have that issue at all.
Any advice about the material?
