is Malarkey a good choice?
yes,I'm a diy type and no,I won't tackle a job that's beyond me,like putting on a new roof.
got several estimates and Malarkey seems to be the choice for 50 yr shingles. (at least the roofers I've talked to)
the Legacy sounds good. anybody had experience with these? I especially like that class 4 impact resistance and the 110 mph wind resistance since the winds up here are "hellacious" so,any comments about Malarkey?
tnx,

I have never used them, they are not sold in my area, but,
I know of several roofers through the forums and a roof group I belong to that use them quite often and I have never heard any thing bad spoken about them.

They also are not readily available in my area, but the same as Sly said, all of the roofers that do use them have positive things to say about those shingles.

Malarkey is defiantly on the higher end of asphalt shingles sold on the Oregon Coast.

Hello,
Ditto to all posts.
We have winds here in AK in excess of 100 mph and they hold up great.

I've used them on several houses (one being my father-in-law), and they are the highest quality shingle I have ever used. EASY to install, and incredibly resilient. They also look great.
If I had 2 more hands, I'd give them 4 thumbs up for sure.

My supplier just started to stock Malarkey. I am going to start trying to sell them to see how the work out only because I have never heard anything negative about them.

And 'A boy named Sue' did reasonably well.
This lady's name

is pronounced HornEye.
Well, Mr. Malarkey has made more out of his life than I did with mine.
Good for him.
