Leaking roof repair & drywall damage

So my wife just noticed a leak in the roof of our living room, the attic space is very narrow but I went up there and took a look, and I think it maybe very serious. Just wondering if anyone knows how to proceed and how much damage has already been done - especially to the drywall.

From the living room, you can't see anything - its a popcorn ceiling and it seems like it just got moist in between the drywall sheets and a few drops came down - nothing crazy..

Up in the attic, its a different story... I got some pictures in this album here:

Only the one plank seems to be moist up there, the other ones are dry.

Anyone know how to proceed with the drywall? I'll go up on the roof tomorrow to check around the area and see what I can do from there to stop the leak..

Welcome to the forum.

All leaks are serious and good job on the attic pictures. Now how about a couple of pictures of the roof showing that area, if you can take them safely.
