Ladder safety

I need to repoint the chimney but I'm unsure about how to approach the roof... it is fairly steep. I'm also not confident about placing a ladder on top of the rear addition adjacent to the chimney, even tho its roof is flat.

Ladder safety

I try not to do scare tatics, just cautious by nature, anyway, if your not confident going up there, hire someone, one sure way to get hurt is being nervous doing something. I look at it as if I was to fall and its a good chance I'll get hurt, I can't afford to be out of work while I heal. Your looking to combine two tasks, using the ladder at some height, and fixing the chimney, easy to lose focus, good luck and be safe.
