J Channel Emptying Over Doorwall

We recently had our roof and siding replaced but I feel the contractor did not address one of my concerns with water being dumped onto the exterior wall over our sliding glass door.

Because the gutters can only go flush against the siding so far, the J Channel is not emptying into the gutters as I thought they would be so all of the water that collects on the side of the house runs down into the J channel and is shed out over our sliding glass door.

Please see my pictures of the situation... Can anyone please tell me what the proper way to address this issue is? I have two other spots where this occurs but they are just not over a doorway like this. Before I pay the final amount to my contractor, I want to make sure all of my concerns are taken care of, he has been a nightmare to deal with.

Any help is appreciated!

J Channel Emptying Over Doorwall

They should have installed a kick out flashing to divert the water away from the house and into the gutter.

I know there is no J-channel or vinyl siding in this picture but you get the idea.
