Insulation under Metal roofing.

I am trying to salvage a hunting camp/summer home for a couple. Theres no insulation in this structure. The question I have is, they want a metal roof and was wondering if I could put foam board under the tin between fur strips. Would that void the proper ventalation? I was thinking if I went with 2x4 furs and went with 1" foam board it would allow for quite a bit of air flow. POSSIBLE?

Insulation under Metal roofing.
