icyclesforming on my leaf guard gutters

I have a 1953 Cape Cod house. Last summer I had my roof redone, and leaf guard gutters installed. But this winter im noticing icycles forming on the outside of the gutter system. I have a cobra ridge vent installed at the gable of the roof. I have a soffit in the back of this house. What are your suggestions?

Knock the icicles off with a broom.

Snow melts on the heated portion of the roof.

Did you have continuous Intake Ventilation added into both your front and rear soffits to create a balanced ventilation system and keep each of the individual rafter bays as cold cavities up till they hit past the knee-wall?

Where are you located ?

Are they forming on both sides of the roof or just the South side?
My gutter filled up with snow from the last storm, partially melted & froze
So I have icicles on the South side from the Sun

And leaf guards do nothing to prevent or reduce ice dams.

They are really not that good at keeping leaves out of the gutter either.

Correct Dennis.

Except for a brand out there that manufactures a heated gutter cap. Never seen it in person or heard 1st hand on how practical and functional it was, so not recommendsation from me.

Does anyone have any sugestions on how I can minimize the icycles from forming. I know we don't live in a perfect world. But I would like to at least try something. Right now I have a Cobra ridge vent system installed in my attic with a soffit that faces south in the back with vents. I have a raised roof in the back of the house. I think my soffits are block with insulation. Would it be wise to move some of the isulation from the back roof if possible? Also should I remove some the insulation in my attic were the front roof faces the knee wall? Would this help my front roof breathe better?
