How to write a Contract

First off, this is a DIY Site. What you want is a professional contracting site, which we so happen to have. See below.

Second, you NEED to check with your local State Regulations, regarding what is legally required for home improvement contracts.

Third, Try looking into our professional contractor's site. There are alot of discussions regarding contract writing.

How to write a Contract

Welcome Yellow River.

Listen to Atlantics advice and head over to the Contractor Talk site and first introduce yourself and let us and the other members know where you are from.

Try Not to use the school of Hard Knocks to learn from, but ask specific questions about what you need to know.

Do you have any version of a contract right now?

Go to the Journal Of Light Construction site and look up products to buy and buy the Contractors Survival Guide as one point to start.

Here is a link to Amazon.com for "The Construction Contractors Survival Guide" and also the other one for cheaper than through JLC:

http://www.amazon.com/Construction-C.../dp/0471513245

Here is a link to: "The Contractors Legal Kit", which costs about $ 69.00 and covers the bases very adequately:

http://www.jlconline.com/cgi-bin/jlc...products/LB200

Do you have an attorney that you are comfortable with?

See you over at www.contractortalk.com
