How labor intensive is metal roofing?

Location: Fl

I have installed a shingle roof before. It was too labor intensive. I have a relative that is in need of a new roof. It is around 30 squares (2/12 pitch). I was thinking about doing it over the course of a couple of weekends (with one helper). Are metal roofs DIY friendly? What types of panels are easiest to install?

I would first find out what type roofs are even approved for that area.
Florida from what I understand has really tightened up after some of the major hurricanes.

Depends totally on the panel and system.

They are more difficult as compared to asphalt but I have seen people DIY them.

Pretty labor and detail intensive. Not muscle intensive. Every move must be preplanned as there is no room for error.
