how to finish off a ridge cap

Scratching my head here trying to think thru how I would nail on that last piece of ridge cap without having any nails exposed. I'm using precut hip and ridge and I'm down to the last 24" of ridge.

You cut the salvage off the last piece and face-nail it with two nails. Yes, they are exposed. You can hit em with a dab of caulk if you like.
