HELP! Sunporch Roof Question....Our porch roof was damaged in a storm, we have corrugated aluminum panels on the roof now. Only a part of the roof was damaged. The roof is on a low pitch. What options do we have for materials to redo the damaged area or replace roof that are inexpensive, durable, waterproof/weather resistant that we can do ourselves? We are up for any suggestions. Thanks.
I do not have any pictures that I send at this time. They are home and I have hard copys- not on computer. Can you give me any advice? i was thinking about tin or metal roof, or possibly roll out aluminum (cut to size) overlapping one another and sealing them together with roof cement or something like it.
Just the corner of the roof was damaged. The metal is broken/bent...and the inside of the porch from the tree that was on is buckled...and there is a hole in the roof (we tarped over)...but on the inside of the porch is only vinyl ceiling panels. No real stable roof. As I said it was more an awning...than an actual roof that you could walk on. We just want something inexpensive and that we can easily install which will be waterproof.
If you want waterproof, then you will have to go with a membrane system.
If watershedding will do, then corrugated metal panels could do it.
