Help with building roof

Hi,

I need your help with my project. So I'm trying to build a small mobile application for easy access to solution on the construction site. The idea is that we describe the building (size), what kind materials we have and we post to website. There we analyze this and provide similar solutions that somebody already did. My question now is, could somebody help me specify what would somebody need to describe the building, so somebody else can design the roof?

If we had built all walls, we probably already have size? Then we have slope of the roof, right? What else is needed?

Then we have materials, we have wood (what kind of wood, length, strength), then roof cover etc. How exactly could we describe materials.

You can totally make up all the details, I just need to know how should somebody describe a building so some architect on the other side of the planet could design a roof.

Thank you,
Erol

Don't think it could be that simple. It's not just the building you have to describe. The local climate need to be included in the calcs
Wind, snow, temp, rain, even potential of seismic activity

Evstarr has the right idea. There are tons of variable that go into designing something. Do your homework the right way so you'll actually know something for all your $$...
