Heat Tape

I am looking at installing some heat tape to help keep the ice dams at my house.

Have you guys found anyplace on line that is cheaper to buy it then the big box stores? The local Home Depot wanted about a dollar a foot. Seems a bit expensive. Especially considering how you have to run the tape up and down the roof.

Any ideas would be great.

Heat Tape

Fix the insulation, envelope, and ventilation. You won't have to worry about the ice damning at that point.
