Hanging bells from ceiling

Hi all

I need to figure out how to hang a couple of 30lb decorative brass bells from the ceiling on the front porch. I think an alternate maybe to use a cantilever bracket from the walls instead. My main concern is not having these drop on someone's head so want to make sure I am using the right equipment.

Cheers

Lag screw with hook or eye hole into a framing member into the ceiling.. Use one large enough and pilot a hole. I would guess 3/4- inch.. You would have to use more attachment with cantilever bracket. But you would have to consider how you want it to look also, bracket might look better. Take a picture I will tell you what I would do..

Oh.. into foam ceiling?? I guess if you cant get to a framing member you will have to attach it to something structural, not the the foam obviously..

Thanks for the prompt reply omegaroofer! Sorry for the typo in the title "foam" should read "from"!

Without trying to sound like a butt. Please post some pix of the 30lb bells. After they are hung.

I have never seen a 30lb brass bell hung on a porch before. And what are your use for the bells?

Seriously.
