I can not see by that picture but if it's the ones that also have the fine nylon mesh as well as those big holes, I've had great luck with them.
DO not use the ones with just the big 1/4 holes and no mesh. They catch every leaf stem and will not keep out pine needles.

+1

You might as well keep the money in your pocket. They do not work.

Get a proper cover and be done with it once and for all.

I have installed plenty of these over the years.
I always tell the customer they have 60% success rate.
If you only have a few large leaf trees, such as maple, you may be ok.

My personal recommendation, dont bother. Screens are a hit-or miss item.
Some have good luck, others not so good. It may pay to just have someone clean your gutters twice a year.
Depending on the size of your house it may run about $100-$200 each time.

I have stopped selling these screens several years ago. Alcoa makes a good product called leaf releif.

I install the wire mesh ones normally. It really depends on what kind of trees you have in your yard. Pine trees, maple trees and trees that have tassels will get into just about any of them.

so there's no gutter filter/guard on the market that works 100%? i guess there's no way around cleaning the gutters.

I have had great success with Alcoas Leaf Relief. However, if you have pine needles youre better off without covers.
As you can tell, this subject is controversial.
