GRACE detail membrane

I have a couple of valleys that need that need to be flashed where I tied my addition into an existing roof. What I was wondering is, if anyone has used the Grace detail membrane for flashing valleys? Can I just put the membrane down on the roof deck and thats it, and then weave the shingles over it? The product description according to them is that its a flexible flashing, just want to make sure I have it right.

The detail membrane, as I understand it is more for areas where standard ice shield wont conform to the bends needed as easily.
For a normal valley, standard ice shield would work fine. Grace brand ice and water shield is great, though a bit of a pain to install compared to others due to the ripcord.

For what I know you can just put it and that's it. Its also reroofable so you can just apply over an old underlay.

What do you mean? You put down a full sheet of ice dams protection material, then run your felt over the sheet minimum 6 inches, then you install your valley in the usual way. I like closed cut. Is this an uncured elastomer that can be formed like epdm formflash? You don't need that for a typical valley, as Pat Said.
