gas line penetration of torch down roof

Hi,
I'm having a 3/4" gas line installed in my kitchen. The line will need to come through a torch down roof. Any suggestions on how I would seal this area?

thanks for any help,
Brett

Before or after the gas is turned on?

Ideally it would happen after the gas was turned on, but maybe I could tend to the roof/pipe junction while the plumber was laying the pipe to the gas meter.

Any way to do this that doesn't involve fire?

Yes, but when you are patching one type of material, you should use the same product for the patching.

I was only concerned about whether or not gas would be in the line, due to the possibility of a leak. BOOM!
