Flintcoat shingles

Rather than wasting your time with an absolutely useless response (as in, "never heard of them"), I performed a quick Internet search, and it appears that the CertainTeed, Saint-Gobain group/company holds the FlintCoat trademark. A quick perusing revealed that CertainTeed produces a line of roofing materials, so chances are that CertainTeed acquired the FlintCoat line of shingles you mentioned. I have no memory of, or direct knowledge of this acquisition, but if it's on the Internet then it must be true.

Flintcoat shingles

We were just talking about the good ole days when we got $4.00 a sq for labor (and paid $7 a sq for shingles delivered and unloaded by hand ), and the best shigles we ever used.
The founder of Flintkote actually patented the strip shingles we use today.
seems the company got hit with the asbestos lawsuits and filed for bankruptcy
