Fair labor price

Could someone tell me a fair labor only price to install roof ( 4/12 pitch) size is 4 squarw with ice and water laid on whole roof before shingles? Each square requires 3 bundles ( 22 shingles per bundle ) plus two hip and ridge bundles. Thanks

Prices vary according to geographic location, whether the contractor is licensed and insured, and the specific material used. You're better off to get 3 estimates from local contractors

In that case, here in illinois, the cost for labor only would be just under $600.

The last I checked, we still live in a capitalist country. At least in the private sector. So a fair price is whatever a willing buyer (that's you) and a willing seller (that's the contractor) agree upon. If you are asking what is the average price to do the job, that is a completely different question.

my response was for a fair market average price in my area. some contractors will build in a PITA factor if they think the customer is too needy.
