Enclosing downspout pipe

Hi there,

Hoping this is the right section for this question...

I'm planning to re-route the downspout from my eavesthrough so that it drains out into the garden vs. down into the house (see picture attached).

I'm wondering what's the best way to cap off the pipe. It's right up against the brick of my house, so it's not easy to get a plastic cap or anything around it.

Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

Looks like it's half filled with concrete already, might as well finish it off the same way.
Cut the pipe above the hole, fold it out to give the concrete some backer. I do this pretty regularly, it's simpler then it sounds.

if it were me, i wouldn't do anything permanent. you never know if you ever need to use that again. if it were me, i would get a rock or brick to just set on there.
