Drip edge for 2 layers of roof sheathing?

I just tore the roof off down to the 1x6 planks. The planks are checked/cracked in some places causing a lot of nail pops in the old shingles. I'd like to go over it with 1/2 CDX but the d metal drip edge I bought won't cover the combined thickness of both. What does everyone do to handle this?

Thanks for the help.

They make a wider drip edge. Go to a roofing supply house.

I personally wouldn't install the sheathing over the decking unless it were spaced decking. May be better just to refasten what's loose and replace what's damaged or rotten. Then again we install 1/2" CDX plywood over spaced decking on a regular basis. When we do, we install a wider drip edge that we often custom bend ourselves.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to do like you said Grumpy. I'll replace the bad boards and make sure to fasten the loose ones down instead.
