I need a down spout or some other way to redirect water as it comes off the roof. I have a Calif Valley on the roof that, when it rains, water shoots directly onto our walkway. I have spoken with a couple companies that install rain gutters but they did not have any ideas besides designing a custom collection box. Any suggestions?
Actually a "scupper" is a tube or canal through a wall that dumps into collector or leader box. Many people use the term wrongly, hence the ability to find a "valley scupper".
Its actually called a rainhead, you could have one on the outsdide, or get fancy and build it into the roof so you keep the same appearance as you have now except for the down pipe from it. That is what the builder of this house did, they even hid the pipe inside the stonework. Apologies for the poor quality photo, I will take a better one when I am on site next week.
Found this picture. Sometimes a visual will help. Hard to see behind the bush if there is a wall there to attach the downspout to.
Here's the link to the website that might give you some other ideas. I do not know this person....just thought the site/pictures might assist you. Not saying that you have to go with copper either. Hope the info. helps!! http://copper-by-design.com/cw/scuppers.htm#Different
