double layer shingle cracks threw out whole roof

Why are these shingles cracked threw out the whole roof?
is it the type of glue or something they used to bond that second layer down then in the winter time it expanded and ended up cracking?

Every single double layer section is cracked, something has to be wrong with this shingle

also if anyone knows anything about the reason why this furnace exhaust is so bad that would be great help to!
i made a topic on the HVAC
Wrong metal for furance exhaust ?

Those flues are rusted out and need to be completely replaced.
Pictures of the shingles in question will be needed to answer your other question.

It's probably not too big a deal since the lifetime 50 year shingles should be good for 20years or even more.

Those look like Renaissance to me, 3-tabs with some laminate portions on the tabs. Complete junk, oldest one i've torn off was ~14 years old. Pain to tear off too, just crumble to pieces. Closeups would help.

What's that 3/8 copper line running up the side of those vents for?
I can see what looks like the ocean in the back ground.
Galvanized never should have been used that close to salt water!!
I'd be the org. builder did that to save money.
There's been several shingle company's that have had failures like that but you would need to know and prove yours was one of them.
Then all there going to give you is a pro rated amount toward the shingles not the labor.
I know if I had of been the company hired to redo those shingles I would have refused to do the job until all those vents where replaced.
There's a 100% chance there going to leak like that.
To me it looks like someone installed new pipe inside of the old rusted out pipe. Which would have be just plan stupid to do.
