Does anyone know if shingles go bad? They're timberline 40yr shingles. The problem is they've been sitting outside uncovered on pallets for probably about a year. Can they get damaged like this? My theory is they're made to sit outside so it can't really hurt them. They arn't brittle or crushed.
my only experience with this sort of thing is the sticky strip on the back side of the shingles tend to stick together is they sit out in the sun and heat. I am not familiar with timberline 40yr, but I had this problem with some 3 tab 30yr once but they sat out for longer than a year.
Ummm, like Roscoe said...but I would consider them already a year old.
