Covered deck ~ pitch and code question


Go back to the permit counter and submit the plans drawn out with the measurements and wood species. Your double 2x6 built beam is over-spanned by 33% without any snow load. The posts look undersized, the attachment of the beam to them, and the rafter connection at the over-frame is lacking a sleeper board. Work with the local Building Inspector to have a safe structure.
