Corrugated over Corrugated

I am re-roofing a small barn and would like to know the pros and cons to simply adding another layer of corrugated directly on top of the existing corrugated. My plan is to remove the cap from the roof, lay the new layer on with rubber-washered screws and install a new ridge cap.

Is there any reason not to proceed with this method? Is there anything special I should do in the process to assure success?

Thanks!

I can think of several reasons, but I would want to ask why you are even considering your plan? Is there a reason you are replacing the existing roof? many barns can be taken care of by replacing the screws, etc.....so anyway, no, it is not acceptable to do what you are wanting to do.
