concrete slurry ceiling insulation?

Hi,
I desperately need some advice on a shed/music space currently going up in the backyard...The structure is made of weatherboard and plasterboard/drywall panels with a thin inner layer of polystyrene covered in a polystyrene bead and concrete slurry mix as a type of insulation. The reason for the slurry is its soundproofing capabilities.
The ceiling of this 3x3 metre space is made up of 6 panels; each 1 by 1.5 mtres long. Each of these has an extra joist down its centre. In addition, a beam runs along the length of the space, supporting each of these ceiling panels. My worry is each of these panels is also filled with a concrete slurry/poly bead mix-the weight is aprox 11k per square metre. Is this too heavy?
Has anyone ever heard of this kind of insulation for a ceiling? My understanding is that rockwool is around 6 k per square metre in weight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

You keep doing that, Dave, lol. I'm not familiar with that construction, ask your local building department. Or go to a sound control forum? Doesn't the contractor know? Is the slurry on a wire lath?

Be safe, Gary

Thanks for the reply Gary. The cement isn't on a wire lathe and unfortunately theres no contractor as it's a small backyard job being built by a friend.
I know it's an unusual insulation material for the ceiling..think I'll call the drywall manufacturer to find out what the max recommended load is..
Thanks again
Halina
