chimney flashing for a metal roof

I am installing a new metal roof with 12 inches that hits a block fireplace on the end of the house. How do you flash the upside of the roof? Do I need a cricket?

chimney flashing for a metal roof

How wide is the chimney and where is it in the roof? Near the ridge or near the eave?
