Ceramic tile over rubber membrane?
Hello, Newbe here...
I am looking for some information for a project I am working on. I have a 2nd story patio/balcony that has tile flooring over who knows what. But, I am removing the tile, sheating and whatever else there is as it has failed and there is water damage. This balcony is over a Sunroom/bedroom and needs to be water tight. I really don't want to do this agian anytime soon.
My thoughts are to start with wood sheating then a rubber membrane and then tile? Do I need to float in a layer of flexset or something of that nature?
Any help would be appreciated.
