Friends of ours had a roof done and 2 weeks later They had 100mph winds of the lake took off half there shingles is the roofer liable for this he has offered to supply the shingles no labour or cleanup
If the shingles were improperly installed, sure, the roofer could be liable. Depends on the product used........was it rated for those type of winds? Lots of variables here to consider. Obviously they need to contact the insurance company as they usually determine fault before fulfilling any type of claims.
i believe you have to use 6 nails per shingle in really windy areas. should use at least 5 anyways. also the manufacture states the mph of winds it warrantied for. might be wrong be i think 80 mph. guess theres always the insurance company.
