Best Tile for home on Golfcourse
We purchased a home near a private golf course and found out we are about 165 yds from from the 16th hole. We currently have terracotta roof which we were going to just repair. After seeing how many golf balls hit the roof we have decided that we need to re-roof with a different kind of tile. What we don't know is what would be the best tile to use in this situation. I would greatly appreciate your input.

165 Yards from the 16th hole?

Do you know how many people would like to have your problem?

A better tile?

Anything else you use is going to have other issues.....

It would help to put your location in your profile....the best choice depends on where you live.....but I'm guessing AZ or FL

What you have is about as good as it get for a tile roof.
If you went with a shingle like this the balls would just bounce off.
There's other's made of recycled tires if your into the green thing.

You beat me to it.

Concrete tile.

Make sure you check the structure of your roof assembly and that it is rated for the additional load requirements.

Concrete tile would be best to use. Have you ever heard of rubber golf course tiles? They say it has a quality that can withstand sun in the summer and freezing temperatures in winter. Though I haven't seen one. Well, its not bad if you'll include this in your options.
