Attic Fans suggestion please

i have a concrete tile roof & it primarily has 'soffit' for intake (I see continuous soffit vents around the roof). There are 4 or 5 domer style vents near top portions of the roof. I have been thinking about adding fans just below the domer vents so that it can push air out? Installation will be very easy since I just have to get fans & install just below the domer vents (i don't plan to open the roof or anything - just install fans to blow hot air out thru' the existing vent openings). Will it help? I live in Northern California - we get a few really hot days & a few cold days. I am wondering if adding couple of attic fans (either solar or electric powered with thermostat) will be a good idea? What else should I consider for the attic. No molds, attic looks reasonably clean & house is 12 years old. Will adding attic fans help in Summer? I run A/C only few times during summer.
Appreciate your thoughts/input.

Thanks,
-venvis

Got a picture of the house?
Why not gable fans?

One of the mods here has a great link regarding attic venting and the use of attic fans....and what you should really have...

As an FYI....my roof has gabble vents....a few years ago I installed an temp controlled fan on one of the gable ends. 2 Problems.....1st...half the time the wind was blowing against it thus making it basically useless. 2nd...It didn't really move much air.

I installed one of those spinning vents on top....it does a much better job of venting.

I have fan for sale if interested.

You are worrying about things that don't need worrying about . If the outdoor ambient reaches 100F + for 30 to 40 days then you can worry about your attic . Life is short, find something fun to do .

Just read that.....very similar to what I had read last year.

Technically, I can't find any fault with it. And based on my experience with my attic fan....I agree.
