I highly doubt it's going to do much good.
Shingles are pro rated so by the time there 10 years old there almost no money going to be paid out.
There also going to try and find any excuse not to pay.
Bad install, improper venting, wrong underlayment, something.
A shot in the dark is google the make and style shingle and add the word recall at the end of the key word.
There's been several recalls on defective shingles over the year on several differant brands.
