Asbetos Siding

I know this is the roofing section but I figure siding is in the same category.
Anyway, my question is, how would you refasten these to the house?
Would you nail it or screw it in or does it not make a difference?

If you are talking about true, friable asbestos siding, to prevent any healt hazards, while pre-driling them, you should spray the pieces with a mist from a garden hose to prevent the particals from becoming airborne. Also, and this is not expensive, buy a hepa mask and filter to breathe through with interd\changeable filters if there is going to be alot of pieces needing to be attended to.

This is not legal or EPA advise, just an observation and I would suggest you contact the EPA for more accurate guidance.

typically holes are prepunched in the asbestos tile,buy a punch tool(less dust)punch holes an inch away from the originals,and renail with a grooved shank asbestos siding nail seal the original holes with silicone
