Asbestos Shingles

Here in NC (at least when I had to deal with the question about 12 years ago) it depended on whether or not it was a flexible asbestos roof or the solid type. The flexible one could be disposed of like other shingles. But the frissable ones(not sure if that is the correct word or spelling; that is it produces a dust when sawed or broken) --, like a solid tile-- required special handling. So it might be pertinent to getting an accurate answer to explain what type of asbestos roof you are dealing with.

Here, the HO can remove them, but disposal is by license only. Causes a lot of them to go in the sink hole or the crick down in the hollar.
