Question

Am I getting Screwed by Roofer?

I am having a new EPDM roof installed on a 220 sq flat roof. It is not quite done and I am paying 10k for this roof and an Aztek railing. I noticed yesterday that under the New EPDM there are several areas that have debris under the EPDM on top of the ISO Board. They didn't clean it off well enough I assume. The Roofer assures me it is not an issue and that there is No fix for this. I have little exp with roofs. I'm not paying this amount of money for crap work, but not sure what to do. What would you all do??

Post up some pictures.

I think you mean Azek railing.

Sounds a bit steep from a cursory reading of it.

The fix is to work slowly looking for pieces of ISO stuck to itself or the EPDM as it's rolled into place. The roller picks pieces up and the wind blows pieces of foam around, but picking it out as the EPDM is rolled into place IS the norm.

220 sq, or 220 sq. feet? Big difference there. A sq. is 100 sq. feet in roofing terminology.

+1

I was reading it as 220 sq/ft.

If it was 220 squares...that is the deal of a lifetime.
