Aluminum Siding Repair

Hello,
I own a house bulit in the 1960's and it has it's original aluminum siding. Parts are missing due to storms. I was wondering if there was a place to order replacements or a solution to cover the exposed area so I can paint my house?

Thanks for your time!

Aluminum Siding Repair

Need a picture? Why's anyone going to know what parts it is you need or how to fix it?

Aluminum Siding Repair

Hello,

Sorry..it was just a general question to see if anyone knew of a website to custom order "filler pieces". I will take a picture tonight and post.

Thank You,

Aluminum Siding Repair

No such thing as "filler pieces".
Siding, outside corners, soffit?
No way would I be ordering aluminum siding and having it shipped.
Any real siding supply company in your area should be able to help.
If it's pieces of siding that needs replacing your in for a treat. You can not just remove a piece in the middle of a wall. Have to start at the top and remove it until you get to the bad pieces.
In most cases the top piece gets destroyed trying to get it out and will need to be replaced.

Aluminum Siding Repair

Had a friend that wanted to paint his aluminum sided house but had some damage. This insulated al siding was all over here in the 60's.Since he wanted to repair and paint we looked around town for someone tearing off and residing that had the same stuff.Gave the crew a few bucks to take off what we needed in tact and used that.We pressure washed to bare aluminum, used a quality primer and paint suited for the application and it still looks pretty good 15 years later.
As far as replacing ,Joe has it right. No filler pieces.
There is one older lumber yard in town that still stocks the corners since they always blow off.
