Airvent Peak FilterVent vs. Modified Cobravent

Trying to decide which ridgevent to use on my modern shed roof house that has no peak. The airvent is specifically designed for the application and has a baffle, which helps airflow. The cobravent would be modified with flashing; casement metal would go over the back with site fabricated metal, or for an extra charge, thicker, sturdier shop fabricated, galvanized metal. The roofer recommends the modified cobravent option with the shop fabricated metal because its strurdier, but will go with either option. however, the airvent wouldnt have to be modified and has the baffles.

Airvent Peak FilterVent vs. Modified Cobravent

I have used the Smart Vent from DCI Products Inc., for these applications also.

It does Not require to be modified, as they lay out their specifications for that application right on their website.

I posted photos somewhere on the net of one very difficult to ventilate combination of Salt Box Style roofs that all tied into each other and if I can remember when and where I posted them, I will post a link to them.

It too, required a sheet metal flashing to be installed as an apron, Roof-To-Wall to cover the top of the shingles.
